Meet the Artist
b. 1997 and raised in Wichita, KS. I'm a mom of three, including my two boys and kid sister. I have several years of professional art experience, which is supported by my experience in bedside nursing.
I'm looking forward to where my art will take me.
My art was a hobby growing up that I rarely invested in for more than that. I was discouraged from pursuing art professionally and instead entered the medical field.
Then, in 2020, that all changed.
I was asked to step back from direct medical care for the sake of my family. That's when I stumbled on a job in an art studio supporting those with disabilities.
Only then did I realise how little I knew about the art world and just how many opportunities were available. I spent just over 3 wonderful years with the nonprofit organization, and I have a whole book of knowledge from it
I have experience with several mediums including acrylic paint, oil pastels, chalk pastels, pencil and charcoal. Also digital programs including Photoshop, Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, Procreate, and GIMP.
The art I tend to create has layer after layer built, and has intensely saturated color. Playing with these colors and their values has a way of holding my attention, unlike anything else. And when I'm not playing with color, I'm focusing on the way the lines move and create interest in the way they flow together.
